EB
Davis & The Superband are based in Berlin, Germany and are one of the Hottest
acts in Europe. Born in the state of Arkansas and raised in Memphis. EB has had
a chance to learn his craft from the best in the business.
The sixties found EB in New York where he went on to form The Soul Groovers. The band becoming one of the most important touring bands of the Soul and Blues era. Regularly touring with and supporting people like Rufus Thomas, Wilson Pickett, Isaac Hayes, Ray Charles and B.B. King.
EB has opened numerous venues throughout Europe to other Blues artists by
being the first Bluesman to appear there, to include the world-famous A-Trane
Jazzclub in Berlin, Germany.
He has appeared in 5 movies to which he contributed songs to the soundtracks,
including the movie The Innocent with Anthony Hopkins and his music has been
covered by other artists to include the great Guitar Crusher and Mick Taylor of
the Rolling Stones.
He holds the modern record for the most appearances at:
The Apollo Theatre in New York
The Amsterdam Blues Festival in Holland
The German American Volksfest in Berlin
The Tennis-Championships-Festival in Stettin, Poland
He is a yearly hit at many of the major festivals of Europe and America, where
he recently played the King Biscuit Blues Festival in Helena, Arkansas where
they have annually more than 30.000 guests.
April 2007 found EB as the headline act at the Burghausen Jazz Week in Germany.
